Hypertension and hypotension
Patients with uncontrolled blood pressure must not take Avana. Patients taking hypertension medications to lower blood pressure or patients with hypotension must avoid the medication because Avana 100mg can cause blood pressure to drop to a low level when affected by antihypertensive.
Heart problems
Patients with compromised heart and cardiovascular conditions must not administer the medication. If you had a stroke, heart failure, or heart attack, void Avana. Patients with heart blockage, irregular heartbeat, heart rhythmic disorder, or heart surgery must avoid Avana.
Alcohol
Do not consume alcohol while on Avana, as it may lead to hypotensive effects (lowering blood pressure).
Penile deformity, Priapism

CYP3A4 inhibitors
CYP3A4, found in the liver, removes toxins and foreign particles. CYP3A4 inhibitors inhibit drug metabolism. Avoid using Avana 100mg concomitantly with a potent CYP3A4 inhibitor. These CYP3A4 inhibitors include telithromycin, atazanavir, ritonavir nefazodone, clarithromycin, ketoconazole, tipranavir, Itraconazole, diltiazem, etc. Inducers of CYP3A4 include St. John's Wort, phenytoin, phenobarbital, etc. If taking CYP3A$ with a doctor's prescription, the dose should be Avana 50mg.
Nitrates, Alpha-blockers
Concomitantly using the medication with nitrates, organic nitrates, alpha-blockers, riociguat, or any antihypertensive can cause the blood pressure levels to plummet. Hence, it is advisable not to use the medication with such a combination of medicines. For patients with stable alpha blockers therapy, the dosage must be Avana 50mg.
Guanylate Cyclase GC stimulants
If you are on GC stimulators, such as Riociguat, avoid Avana 100mg.
