What is Duratia?
Duratia is a safe and effective generic version of Priligy because it too contains dapoxetine. It is used as a treatment for Premature Ejaculation (PE). PE is the inability to have good control over ejaculation. Dapoxetine is a clinically proven drug for men with PE, although it is used as an antidepressant. It helps men to indulge in satisfactory sexual intercourse by delaying ejaculating. It works on a certain neurotransmitter to delay orgasm in men.
How Duratia works?
Like Priligy, Duratia is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRIs). It has control over the way the neurotransmitter serotonin secretes in your brain during sexual activity. An SSRI slowly prevents the re-uptake of serotonin in the brain cells. This action mechanism helps you have good control over your ejaculation. Serotonin has been associated with a lot of bodily functions, including ejaculation or orgasm.
How often can I take Duratia pills?
Duratia is not intended for regular or continuous daily use. It should be used only when you anticipate sexual activity. It must not be taken more frequently than needed and not more than once in 24 hours. Do not take more than one pill at a time. Overdosing on Duratia could increase your chances of having side effects. You must take the medicine only when you intend to make love. It is not hypertension or diabetes medication, which you take daily.
How long does Duratia last?
Duratia should be taken 1 to 3 hours before sexual activity. By that time, the drug is absorbed and starts to work reaching a peak concentration in the body. Dapoxetine is generally after 24 hours, meaning that more than 95% of the drug is excreted from the body. Taking the medicine on an empty stomach yields better results. Do not take the medicine with alcohol, grapefruits, or any other controlled substance. Duratia can increase your ejaculation time by more than 5 minutes.
What if Duratia does not work?
For some men, Duratia does not always work the first time they take it. In that case, they should not give up. Doctors often say one should try dapoxetine at least 6 times before switching to any other drug or trying an alternative treatment. If the drug fails to work even after using it 6 times on different occasions, check with your doctor for any other treatment option. Generally, Duratia works in more than 80% of men with PE.
Will Duratia 90 mg tablets make me last longer?
Duratia 90mg is more likely to prolong your time of ejaculation significantly. However, it depends on the severity of PE you have as well as how your body reacts to the drug. You should only use this medicine when you want to make love, but not more than once in 24 hours. Some men may experience side effects such as nausea, dizziness, or sweating. Please note that taking more than one dose will not make you last longer.
