Generic Estradiol Pills dosage, side effects, Uses

Description

Generic Estradiol contains estrogen, a female hormone. It is often prescribed to women to help reduce the classical symptoms of menopause, such as hot flushes and vaginal dryness, itching and burning. These post-menopausal symptoms in women are due to less secretion of estrogen. Generic Estradiol is used as a medication for menopausal hormone therapy.

The medication is an estrogen that is used mainly in menopausal hormone therapy to treat low estrogen levels in women. It may also be used by women in hormonal birth control, in hormonal therapy for transgender women, and for hormone-sensitive cancers such as breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men. Generic Estradiol can be taken orally, as it is available in tablet forms.

Action Mechanism

However, after attaining the climacteric age or menopausal age, women secrete less amount of estrogen, which is why they suffer from menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes and vaginal dryness. Generic Estradiol helps in replacing the female hormone. It meets the daily requirement of estrogen, preventing the symptoms of menopause.
