Fenofibrate Dosage, Uses, Side Effects, Interactions
Description
Generic Tricor is prescribed along with a healthy diet to help lower bad cholesterol and fats such as LDL, triglycerides and raise good cholesterol – HDL. It is specifically prescribed to people with high cholesterol and who has risk of cardiovascular disease. In addition to healthy diet, such as a low-cholesterol or low-fat diet, other lifestyle changes that may help Generic Tricor work better include exercising, losing weight, and stopping smoking.
Fenofibrate works by increasing the enzyme that breaks down fats in the blood. It belongs to a group of drugs called fibrates. Lowering triglycerides in people with high triglyceride may decrease the risk of pancreas disease (pancreatitis). However, Generic Tricor might not lower your risk of a stroke or heart attack. Talk to your physician about the risks and benefits of using Generic Tricor.
