Action Mechanism
After consuming food, the stomach lining produces the hormone gastrin. This hormone stimulates the release of histamine, which then binds to histamine H2 receptors and results in acid secretion to digest the food. Generic Zantac reduces the higher secretion of acid by reversibly binding the histamine (H2) receptors present on the gastric parietal cells. This process leads to blocking the histamine to the receptor and controls stomach acid formation. A single dose of Generic Zantac helps control stomach acid-related issues within 60 minutes, and the effects remain till 4-10 hours, providing fast and effective symptomatic release.
